Public library opens in Alpuri Shangla

SHANGLA: The district administration Shangla inaugurated first ever public library for the local people at district headquarters Alpuri, initially about 2000 books had been provided to the library.
The public library was inaugurated on Monday by the additional deputy commissioner Shangla Maqbool Hussain accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Alpuri Wajid Ali, Akhlaq Ahmed, local political leaders and school teachers were in attendance.
The ADC said it was the initiative of provincial government and a task was assigned by the chief secretory to all the district of the province to set up public libraries.
He said that they have ensured all the required facilities in the first ever such library in the district, The librarian of the government high school has been entrusted with the additional responsibilities of the Resource center, district Shangla.
“A junior clerk and one Naib Qasid has also been appointed to the library by the district administration for meant to run it smoothly and books lovers could get avail the facilities being provided at the Library,” He said and added that initially they had provided around 2000 books to the library in various categories, including Literature, Arts, Science, Law, General Knowledge, daily newspapers of five news agencies.
The administration also provided computers, Chairs, Reading tables, Internet WIFI, Washroom, heating and clean drinking water facilities at the library.
The ADC further shared the details that they have provided all kinds of of people like scholars, students, those who preparing themselves for competitive examinations, islamic and poetry books were also ensured at the Resource center.
